25 Best Bible Verses for Spiritual Warfare

We are in a spiritual battle and one that is increasing.  Perhaps you can feel it, perhaps not.  One thing for sure, Satan is always on the prowl, seeking whom he can devour, and he is out to steal, kill and destroy.

Our best defense against the wiles of the enemy is the sword of the Spirit, the word of God.  I have listed some helpful scriptures to aid us in our battle against the enemy.

Psalm  144:1  A Psalm of David. Blessed be the LORD my Rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle.

Psalm 24:8  Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, The LORD mighty in battle.

Jeremiah  1:8  Do not be afraid of their faces, For I am with you to deliver you, says the LORD.

1 Peter 5:8-9  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.   Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.

1 John 3:8  He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.

Luke 10:19  Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Psalm  37:39  But the salvation of the righteous is from the LORD; He is their strength in the time of trouble.
